“My First Photoshoot Ever”

Graduation sessions are some of my favorites, and I believe the celebration needs to be before, during, and after the shoot. When you cross a milestone like receiving your bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University, you want your photos to reflect the zeal you feel when you walked across the stage so you can relive that memory and feeling every time you see that photo.

Miranda had never had a photo session before, but you can’t tell by the way her pictures came out! One thing I loved about shooting with her was how willing she was to do whatever was needed to get the photo and how positive she was the whole time! Even with the wind blowing my equipment away and blowing her hair away, we were able to re-set and get amazing shots while still celebrating her success.

Another thing that I loved was her vision for her pictures. She showed me her outfits that she wanted to wear days before, but on the day of the shoot she surprised me. She had taken a pair of jeans and painted “Geaux Tigers” on one leg and “LSU 2021” on the other using purple and yellow paint. She’s so creative! She also wanted pictures in the LSU Library. We kept laughing because of how loud my camera sounded on the third floor. We were quiet, sneaky, and quick. When I’m given a vision that is unique to the graduate, the experience is always better!

However you decide to celebrate, make it memorable and make it unique!
