As a parent, you never want to miss a single moment of your child’s life. Birthdays, graduations, holidays, and all other special occasions are all moments that you want to keep forever and show your kids when they’re all grown up!

When Aaliyah contacted me about having a session for her and her daughter, I was more than happy to meet her and make the session memorable! I decided to make them easter baskets to fit the theme. The location we agreed on was Girard Park in Lafayette, LA.

At first, Aaliyah’s daughter did not want to be in front of the camera, but after she saw the colorful easter eggs and realized that there was chocolate inside, she began to brighten up and give us some smiles! The session wasn’t long, but we got exactly what we wanted from it: lots of fun and beautiful memories.

When I asked Aaliyah what she would do with the photos, she told me she had just moved to Lafayette and wanted to send her family some post cards back home since they hadn’t seen her or her daughter since she’d moved. I’m glad I was able to do this for her, and I can’t wait for her daughter to grow up, look back on these, and see how much her mother loved her.
